O’Reilly’s Ignite meetups are coming to the North with their first event planned for 22nd January from 6-9pm at Old Broadcasting House in Leeds. Never heard of Ignite? It is your chance to spark a chain reaction of ideas through spending five minutes on stage talking about relevant subjects in todays digital and creative sector. What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights to show their answers.

So why not get everyone talking at this event. If you want to present, please remember the following:

• Be no longer than 5 minutes
• Be on an innovative topic (no sales pitches)
• Be viewable on a PC [a MacBook Pro with Powerpoint and Keynote, and PDF] with standard AV equipment
• Did we mention, no sales!

We’re really hoping to use this first event to give a global audience to the flavour of things happening across the North of England…the more left-field and diverse the submissions the better!
