Coworking
met:space has been modeled on Citizen Space, the original coworking community in San Francisco that has led the world in defining the principles and practices of coworking. Rather than simply being another serviced office, coworking is based on a number of shared values…
Collaboration
Being in a coworking space will lead you to serendipitously encounter people with all sorts of knowledge.Openness
Great collaboration requires transparency and openness of ideas and knowledge. Coworking should encourage open spaces and discussions between residents that might lead to new ventures and ideas.Community
Collaboration and Openness is all about relationships and connections – by placing people from different disciplines together, coworking encourages dialogue to solve problems and create ideas. We encourage people to share and contribute as much as they take – through meetups, show & tell and social networking.Sustainability
By complimenting working from home, flexible coworking promotes less commuting and sharing office resources leads to a greener more sustainable working environment; something which we intend to promote as much as we can.
For Leeds Met, the relationship between its Carnegie School of Sport and the Headingley stadium is seen the blueprint for the relationship between the Innovation North faculty and met:space at Old Broadcasting House.
